Mentor Responsibilities:
- Act as a role model, advisor, and guide to the mentee.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Maintain confidentiality of discussions.
- Dedicate the agreed time to mentoring sessions.
- Take initiative in driving the mentoring relationship.
- Be open to feedback and willing to learn.
- Prepare for meetings with specific questions or topics.
- Respect the mentor's time and boundaries.
Procedure1.
Program Registration:
- Interested participants must complete an application form detailing their goals (mentees) or areas of expertise (mentors).
- Dixon House will review applications and assign pairings.
- Mentors and mentees will participate in an introductory session to establish goals and expectations.
- Sessions should be scheduled regularly, with a minimum of one meeting per month.
- A minimum of three session is required for each mentoring relationship, unless there are extenuating circumstances which prevent this.
- Meetings can be held in person or virtually, depending on participants’ preferences.

- Both mentors and mentees will be asked to provide feedback after two sessions to ensure alignment with their goals.
- Upon completion, mentors and mentees will participate in a closing session to reflect on achievements and provide program feedback.
All participants are expected to:
- Treat one another with respect and professionalism - including adhering to boundaries agreed upon such as contact outside of sessions
- Ensure confidentiality of all shared information.
- Act with integrity and honesty.
