What is Dixon House?
Dixon House is a neighbourhood centre located in the heart of Clayton, in the City of Monash, Victoria, Australia. We have a range of programs and services that cater to the needs of those in the local community. Our hope is that this is a place where you can make friends, learn new skills, volunteer your time, and get support.

VOLUNTEER HOMEWORK CLUB TUTORS – NOW REQUIRED
Additional tutors are required to support children in Years 4-8 with their homework and assignments. Tutors work with one (or two) children from different cultural backgrounds each week, using the workbooks, computers and educational games provided. The classroom gets lively with additional group activity during the session. There is scope for you to use your other talents to make the learning experience fun and engaging for the children.
Requirements – Advanced English skills, love and patience for working with children, and teaching ability.
Responsibilities – set up and put away resources and materials, prepare refreshments and clean up afterwards.
Commitment - once a week on Wednesdays, 3.30pm – 5.45pm during school terms and attending training each term, with a minimum of 6 months commitment.
