From July to November 2019, Dixon House will be running a series of programs to support migrants and refugees who are looking for employment.
This will consist of: 1) Workshops covering topics of interest such as job resume writing, interview skills, skills shortage areas, additional training. 2) A mentoring program providing weekly one-to-one mentoring from a local professional 3) A peer support group where people can discuss various topics and issues relating to employment in Australia Eligibility In order to qualify for this information session and additional support, you need to meet the following criteria:

Dixon House is excited to host a FREE information session by AUS Career Coach titled "Finding a Job in Australia". This session will provide valuable information for migrants who have recently settled in Australia or those who have been here for several years but have struggled to obtain ongoing employment. If you attend, you will also find out more information about the other three programs we are offering.
Michelle is Founder of AUS Career Coach, a nominee in the 2018/19 Monash Business Awards in the Professional Services category. Michelle has a total of 25 years of career success across a wide range of industry sectors, and for the past 10 years as an Education and Careers Advisor. She is also a public speaker and a facilitator. Michelle is passionate about assisting people to recognise their talents and securing long term careers with reputable companies.

If you are a professional with experience working in Australia and you have a spare 1-2 hours during the week to provide encouragement and advice to a migrant or refugee looking for work, we welcome you to apply to be a mentor in this program.
